Copper or Silver? How to Decide Where to Start

Silver gets most of the spotlight in this hobby, but copper deserves a seat at the table. Here’s why we carry both, and why your collection probably should too.

The case for silver. Silver is the classic entry point — recognizable, liquid, and easy to resell. It carries real monetary history and tends to hold value better than copper over time, which makes it the backbone of most serious stacks.

The case for copper. Copper is where a lot of stackers actually start, and for good reason: it’s inexpensive, wildly popular for unique and novelty designs, and lets you build a real collection without a big budget. A single dollar can buy you a full ounce of copper compared to $30+ for silver — that’s a lot of room to experiment.
